Cranberry Ginger Fizz

Cranberry Ginger Fizz

If Christmas had a signature colour, it would be cranberry red. And if it had a signature attitude, it would definitely be sparkly—which is exactly why the Cranberry Ginger Fizz is my go-to cocktail this festive season. It’s bright, bubbly, a little cheeky, and dangerously easy to drink (consider yourself warned).

This cocktail is what happens when tart cranberry meets zingy ginger beer and whispers, “Wanna make some poor decisions together?” The answer is always yes.

Whether you’re hosting a party, wrapping presents with questionable enthusiasm, or avoiding yet another group chat about Secret Santa, this little number will get you through.

🍸 What You’ll Need

Just a few simple ingredients—nothing weird, nothing you’ll only use once, and absolutely no homemade syrups you have to boil for three hours. Christmas is busy enough.

  • 45ml vodka
  • 90ml cranberry juice (100% juice if you want fancy, cranberry drink if you want fun)
  • Ginger beer to top
  • Fresh lime juice (just a squeeze)
  • Ice
  • Optional: Sugared cranberries for garnish, because it’s Christmas and we deserve things that sparkle

🧊 How to Make It

  1. Fill a glass with ice—preferably the big chunky kind that makes you look like you know what you’re doing.
  2. Pour in the vodka and cranberry juice.
  3. Top with ginger beer until your glass is delightfully fizzy.
  4. Add a squeeze of lime to wake everything up.
  5. Garnish with sugared cranberries, or just drink it immediately. No judgement.

🎁 Why You’ll Love It

  • Festive without effort → It looks like Christmas even if your house decorations are… minimal.
  • Light and refreshing → Perfect for warm Aussie Decembers where Santa is sweating through his red suit.
  • Crowd pleaser → Everyone loves it, even your aunt who usually brings a bottle of “wine” from the petrol station.

This is the cocktail you can serve at a party, sip while you’re watching Love Actually for the 15th time, or make in a jug for Christmas lunch. It’s delicious, it’s pretty, and it pairs beautifully with both good decisions and bad ones.

Cheers to fizzy things, festive things, and cocktails that make December just a little more magical. 🥂
