Spicy Paloma

A Spicy Paloma is a fun twist on the classic Paloma cocktail — it keeps the refreshing grapefruit-and-tequila vibe but adds a little heat. 🌶️🍹

Here’s a recipe you can try:


Ingredients

  • 60ml blanco tequila
  • 60ml fresh grapefruit juice (or grapefruit soda for a sweeter version)
  • 15ml lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 15ml agave nectar (or simple syrup, optional, for balance)
  • 2–3 slices of jalapeño (or serrano for extra heat)
  • Sparkling water (if using fresh grapefruit juice)
  • Salt + chili powder mix (for rim, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass: Rim a highball glass with lime juice, then dip in salt + chili powder mix. Fill with ice.
  2. Muddle the heat: In a shaker, muddle jalapeño slices with lime juice.
  3. Shake: Add tequila, grapefruit juice, agave, and ice. Shake well.
  4. Strain & top: Strain into your prepared glass. Top with sparkling water (if using fresh juice) or just pour over grapefruit soda.
  5. Garnish: Add a jalapeño slice or grapefruit wedge for garnish.

👉 Adjust spice by muddling more or fewer jalapeño slices.
